SHARI

SHARI is a classically trained R&B vocalist and songwriter from Vallejo, California.  The Benicia High School graduate made local headlines last summer for her tribute song to the Warriors, titled “Dub Nation”, which she wrote in celebration of their historic 2016 season.

SHARI started singing before she could speak and lists singers like Mariah Carey, Deniece Williams and Minnie Riperton as a few of many musical influences.  Her formal music training began when she was 10 years old and carried into high school when she was a student in the Young Musician’s Program held at UC Berkeley.  She then went on to complete a Bachelor of Music (Vocal Performance) degree from the California State University, Stanislaus where she discovered her true singing potential, and appeared in Opera’s such as Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” as the Queen of the Night.

SHARI has performed at events all over the bay area, including Vallejo’s Unity Day and Christmas Tree Lighting, Vacaville’s Merriment on Main, Yoshi’s Jazz Club in Oakland, and more. She is also a lead singer for the band CISUM and they play at various locations throught the East Bay.

SHARI will release original material this year where she can incorporate her classical background with her love for R&B and Hip-Hop music and is seeking producers to collaborate.  In the meantime, she is focusing on building her online audience by utilizing platforms like Facebook and YouTube.
