The Oakland-East Bay Gay Men’s Chorus (OEBGMC) is a 60-member adult community chorus, who performs three concerts annually and dozens of outreach engagements each year. Entering its twentieth season, OEBGMC has garnered acclaim in the San Francisco-Bay Area for excellence in music making and diverse programming. Members of the chorus come from all walks of life, and the organization strives to foster an inclusive and joyful musical community for gay, bi, trans, and straight male, female, and non-binary singers of the tenor or bass range. Founded by esteemed chorus director Dick Kramer, a pioneer in the movement of choral music as a proponent of social justice issues, the Oakland-East Bay Gay Men’s Chorus is currently under the director of Dr. William Sauerland.
